The rice from our field is a project we started in 2016, together with the Grassot family who own the rice from “Estany de Pals”, who have been cultivating the lands of our farmhouse, Mas Pou from Pals, for many years. A few meters from our house, on a piece of land we grow the Carnaroli variety that you can find in our dishes.

We are in front of lands with a long history, which were already cultivated during the 15th century.
Thanks to the historian Narcís Subirana, member of the Catalan Historic Circle “Cercle Català d’Història, we discovered as well that my great-grandfather Josep Pericay Jofra, around 1910, was already cultivating rice in our farmhouse, in exactly the same field we use now. It is an honor for us to know that the family legacy and tradition of these lands of the Empordà prevail over time and that they continue to be part of our reality.
From the field to the table. Local, ecological and sustainable cultivation. Family values and regional tradition. Values that are passed down from generation to generation and that give us these delicious and appreciated dishes.

Due to the situation we are living in and with the uncertainty that we do not have a restaurant opening date, we are working to be able to offer them takeaway food, We will show you all the information soon.
